Abe Lincoln, who was a trial lawyer before he became President, is quoted as saying that “a lawyer’s time and advice are his stock-in-trade.

Roy K. Farber does not offer a “free initial consultation.”  He is going to expend his valuable time, and give you solid legal advice.

You will pay the discounted rate of $60.00 for the 1st 60 minutes of your Initial Consultation in his office.  It is not “free,” but it is a $140.00 reduction from his normal hourly rate of $200.00.

Certain kinds of lawyers, such as Personal Injury, Bankruptcy and Criminal attorneys, may give you a free initial consultation.  But if you can find a Domestic and Family Law attorney who does not charge for your first meeting, you usually get a 20 minute sales-pitch and little else.  And you will not get the in-depth education and the solid advice that you and your situation deserve, and that Roy K. Farber will provide!

Roy K. Farber’s hourly fee is $200.00.  If you have your Initial Consultation in his office, he reduces your first 60 minutes with him, from $200.00 down to a flat fee of $60.00.  This enables people to have an in-depth meeting and get some real answers without a large financial cost.

If you wish to limit your Initial Consultation in his office to an hour or less, then all you pay him is $60.00 before you leave his office that day.

If, however, you want to continue that meeting beyond the first 60 minutes, then whatever additional time he spends on your behalf that day, after those first 60 minutes, is charged at his hourly rate of $200.00 per hour, broken down into 10ths of an hour.  For example, a 1-1/2 hour Initial Consultation in his office would cost you $160.00 ($60.00 for the 1st 60 minutes, and $100.00 for the next 30 minutes).  This is paid in full before you leave his office that day.

If you must have your Initial Consultation by telephone, then arrangements will be made in advance, including his receipt of the documents he needs from you and secured monies to cover the time required to review those documents and have the Initial Conference with you by telephone.  This first telephone conference is charged at $200.00 per hour, broken into 10ths: for example, 1-1/2 hours expended in review and during the telephone conference would cost $300.00, which is paid in advance.

Your payment may be made by cash, acceptable check,
cashier’s check or money order, Visa or MasterCard.
